Today is Saturday here in Saigon. We start the long journey home. The kids have had a great time and so have us adults. We are all a little sad for our trip to be over, but also excited to get home. We will be home on Saturday evening--we gain a day.
See you all soon.
Peace,
Angie

Happy Fourth of July!
Today is our last day in Vietnam. We are back in Saigon after spending two days in the Mekong Delta. We had a great time, we had two river cruises on the Mekong Delta--one day we visited the floating market in Soc Trang and the next day we visited a village in the middle of the jungle (basically). It was beautiful and a bit surreal.. We also watched the traditional methods of making coconut candy and rice paper. Today we will do some last minute shopping and play in the pool here at the Sofitel.
Hard to believe it's time to go home now. Seems that as soon as we have adjusted to the weather and traffiic, it's time to go.
Take care and see you all soon.
Peace,
Angie, Keith and Kurt

Hello from Can Tho!
We survived a three hour drive to Tra Vinh (with all kids pretty happy). After eating a wonderful lunch we visited Josie's orphanage. One of her nanny's was there and remembered her. There were only nine babies at this orphanage, but this facility is also home to seniors so it was a different sort of place. Kurt and Tien enjoyed the puppies that shyly tried to play with the boys.

This was one of the first days that we really encountered all the rain we've heard about. The streets of Tra Vinh were flooded and our van flew water all over the place. The children that we passed by splashed in the water.

After the orphanage we then drove to Can Tho, which was another two hours. We rode in a ferry to cross the Mekong River, Kurt enjoyed this--being able to ride without being in his seat and seat belt.

We are staying at a charming hotel here in Can Tho. We ate Italian food for dinner last night--yea PESTO!!

Today we going on a boat cruise to see the floating market of Soc Trang; this should be very interesting.

Hope everyone is well, we miss you.
Peace,
Angie, Keith and Kurt
